A Short Life of Napoleon Bonaparte, 1895 Ida M Tarbell
A Short Life of Napoleon Bonaparte, 1895 by Ida M. Tarbell, includes 250 illustrations secured by McClure's Magazine from the engravings collection of Gardiner G. Hubbard and from other sources.
- It contains:
- Table of the Bonaparte Family
- Chronology of the Life of Napoleon Bonaparte
This paperback book is particularly important for its 250 engravings. Although it has often been reprinted, with reprints frequently offered at higher prices, our copy is indeed rare and highly collectible, one of only 2 or 3 currently available for purchase online.
The 105+ year old antiquarian book looks ragged, and it is. The front cover is missing, and the frontispiece - with a portrait of the young Napoleon - is loose, as is the back cover. But the text is firmly stapled, and the illustrations are in fine condition.
