A Foreword  emphasizes the care taken in preparing this Style Book and warned authors and editors to save time in the composing and proofreading rooms by typing manuscripts or if writing long hand to write plainly and with great care.

This book is interesting and valuable for its date (1930) and its emphasis.   The proofreading marks and illustrations are to be noted.

The hardcover book is in fair condition.  There are no marks or tears, but the pages are well browned, the cover stained and binding weakened after the front flyleaf and exposed between pages 22 and 23 but not weakened.

A still sturdy little book, a collectible for its genre and a enlightening look into our past use of language and writing.

The book measures 4 1/4 inches by 7 inches by 1/4 inch and has 41 pages.
