This well used reader's copy is in only fair vintage / antique condition. The green binding is tearing after the front flyleaf. An Enemy of the People has numerous markings, although there are none otherwise in the book except a greeting on the flyleaf. The cover has some spot damage and shows a lot of handling. No dust jacket.

It is a typical Modern Library Edition, an anthology of popular works of a major author, with a well-known writer to introduce the selections, these editions provide an inexpensive way to add collectible and hardcover books to a theatre buff's private library.

The  book measures 5 1/2 inches by 8 1/4 inches by 2 inches and has 1185 pages.
