Gilead A Novel by Marilynne Robinson
By Marilynne Robinson, author of Housekeeping and other novels, Gilead is a thoughtful novel of reminiscence, hope, forgiveness and understanding, told in the first person by Reverend John Ames in a letter to his son.
This hardcover first edition is in very good condition, with firm binding, strong spine and clean, unmarked pages. There are tiny smudges on the front outside cover and both inside covers, and there is minimal wear to the corners. The top edges of the pages show slight foxing. The dust jacket is intact, without tears, but shows a little shelf wear and a small crease (about 3/4") at the lower right front corner.
Published in 2004, the book measures 8 1/2" by 5 3/4 inches and is 247 pages long.
