Politician Out Witted Constitutional Debate 1788 Stage Play, Samuel Low
Politician Out-Witted: The Constitutional Debate on Stage was written in 1788 by Samuel Low (1765-1810?) but rejected for production at that time. The East Lynne Company with Warren Kliewer as Artistic Director provided that production in 1987.
This pamphlet of discussions of Samuel Low, his period in American history and some of his poems served as an introduction to the East Lynne production and the bicentennial of our Constitution on which this play is a timely and perceptive commentary.
This pamphlet of essays is in near excellent condition--firm stapled binding, no tears, one name in ink on page 32. It includes six essays, three sonnets and one ode by Samuel Low plus three block print illustrations.
The booklet measures 5 1/2 inches by 8 1/4 inches by 1/8 inch and has 32 pages with a stiff glossy cover.
It ships via First Class US mail.
