- These essays are in sections, as follows:

Throughout the book are a number of black and white illustrations, outlines, tables, and several pages of musical notations, as well as scholarly documentation in the form of footnotes.
As it is becoming increasingly hard to find, we believe it will prove a welcome collectible rare book for everyone interested in Asian and Southeast Asian literature, culture and the dramatic and performing arts.
This illustrated blue hardcover book is in good vintage condition, with the spine firm and the pages clean and tightly bound. A few pages show some creasing but no tears, and there is wear to the black and gold dust jacket. There is a small scuff mark on the inside front cover, and a previous owner's name is written in ink on the fly leaf.
The book measures 5 1/2 inches by 8 1/2 inches by 1 inch and has 354 pages.
