The play is a Lesson in Friendship, Independence and Hope for three Women living in the Upper West Side of New York. Katharine Hepburn played the lead for the play's initial performances in California and on Broadway in New York.
Ernest Thompson had already achieved success on the Broadway stage in 1978 with On Golden Pond, a popular comedy in its long Broadway run and as a movie. West Side Waltz is also a thoughtful comedy-drama.
This illustrated hardcover book includes 6 pages of black and white stage photographs is in very good condition. As a library copy, it has been protected, dust jacket and all, with a plastic cover. Including the jacket there are no markings or tears, only library identifications and very slight foxing. It measures 5 1/2" 8 3/8" x 7/8" and has 155 pages.
