Yumus Emre and His Mystical Poetry, 1981, is edited by Talat Sait Halman. Yumus Emre is arguably the most significant folk poet in the history of Islamic literature and this collection of essays assesses his poetry, his humanism and his place in Turkish culture.

The sections On Yunus Emre's Complete Poems, On Yunus Emre Translations, Notes on Some Names and Terms and the Selected Yunus Emre Bibliography are very helpful for readers. 

Of particular interest are the fifty odd pages of translations of  selected Yunus Emre's poems by Talat Sait Halman.

The General Editor of this Turkish Studies series is Ilhan Basgoz who has contributed an  essay and has signed this book.

This paperback book, 1981, is browned and well used but remains well bound and firm as a paperback vintage book. There are no tears or other markings. The book measures  6 inches by 9 inches by 1/2 inch and has 199 pages.
